Did you know that the pain your experiencing can be caused from the muscle itself? Good news, we can treat that using a technique called Dry Needling.
By isolating the "tight" spot of a muscle (trigger point), we are able to use a thin filiform needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate the underlying dysfunction. This technique is used to treat dysfunctions in skeletal muscle, fascia and connective tissue thereby diminishing pain.
Dry Needling can be used for an array of diagnoses, and is a great tool in helping: decrease pain and disability, improving range of motion and facilitating a return to full function.
Dry Needling has also been shown to help decrease scar tissue, improve scar mobility and improve mobility.
At JVB PT, we pride ourselves on one-on-one treatments, which enables us to perform adequate manual treatment each session.
